Dr. Brittney Hernandez-Stevenson
President, NAACP
Muhlenberg County Branch
On behalf of the NAACP Muhlenberg County Branch, it is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you to the 78th Annual State Convention in the welcoming community of Central City, Kentucky.
This convention represents more than an annual gathering. It is an opportunity to come together in fellowship, reflection, and action as we continue the important work of advancing justice, equality, and opportunity for all. Throughout our history, the NAACP has stood as a powerful voice for civil rights and social change, and that legacy calls upon each of us to remain engaged, courageous, and committed to the work that lies ahead.
Over the course of this convention, we will share ideas, address the challenges facing our communities, celebrate the progress we have made, and strengthen our collective resolve to create meaningful and lasting change. Our time together reminds us that when we stand united, our voices are stronger, our impact is greater, and our ability to move our communities forward is limitless.
May the days ahead inspire thoughtful dialogue, meaningful connections, renewed partnerships, and bold action. May we leave this convention energized and equipped to carry the mission of the NAACP back into our communities and continue the work of building a more just, equitable, and inclusive Kentucky.
Welcome to Central City, and welcome to the 78th Annual NAACP Kentucky State Conference Convention. Let us come together with purpose, move forward with unity, and continue the work together.
